This morning you saw the film 'This is England'. It's out of doubt that it is a violent subject with violent people. Anyway even if it is obvious that things are heading only one way, i.e. towards violence, I think it was worth watching especially for young people like you.

Nowadays all things end in violence, for example, the demonstration in Rome. The only solution is dialogue, but often violence prevae on everything!

RispondiEliminaI think that it is a very good film, I learn a lot watching it. Violence is always more common, expecially for children which know it as a game, so we should try to stop it informing them about what it really is, also throught this kind of films.
RispondiEliminaI agree with both Simone :) and also I add my riflection. Even if the plot of this film it was focused on violence, in some part there was a big teach of respect: at first when Woody and the others members go out with Shaun and another maybe when Combo speak with Shaun in the car.

RispondiEliminaThis is England is a very beatiful film. It shows what's the life. I learnt that skinhead is a life style and i learnt how this life style could be violent. Unfortunately there is still the worst kind of skinheads, the naziskinheads. They are mainly young boys that hate the foreigns and does orrible things to them.
RispondiEliminaI enjoyed this film, because of the argument: I am quite interested of the skinhead movement, and I think that this film is realistic about it, without being qualunquistic (?).
RispondiEliminaAlso, this film shows the other side of the medal about skinheads: the naziskin movement (in contrast with the SHARP movemente, which stands the SkinHeads Against Racial Pregiudice movement), which is a real plague for everyone.
I think this film is a life lesson because it teaches us a lot of things, above all we have to understand that violence doesn't solve problems, instead it creates other ones. We don't have to use violence even if nowadays more and more young people use it in each situation. An example is the peaceful protest "Occupy Rome" that turned in a violent protest. I think it's worth watching this film and I believe it was a great idea letting us watching it.
